About Me
My name is Harrison Conklin and I am 16 years old. I always enjoyed artistic activities like music and drawing. I also have two DSLR cameras because I really like to take pictures too. In fact, most of the articles of art you will see on this webpage will be photography. You will see some other pieces though, like an oil painting I have done, as well as several sketches.
I have many inspirations and cars are one. Super-Cars especially capture my interest. In my photo gallery, you will see a McLaren MP4-12C. Granted, I didn’t take the actual picture, but I did practice several Photoshop tools to make the car look more aesthetically pleasing. Another inspiration I take from is late 1940’s pop culture. I like the way they dressed, the music, and the architecture. In “The Blue Man” you can see some of the inspiration from this period such as the suit and the back-stage scenery.
What I like about art is that you can create scenes from inside your head and put it down on paper. You can put in your thoughts on certain subjects down and communicate it to other people. “The Blue Man” to me, represented the death of old pop culture with cold blue overtones, and the dead looking man in the picture. Art to me isn’t my passion, but it does help me picture what my passions are. That is why I like art.
